Fillers Q & A

What are fillers?

Fillers are an injectable cosmetic tool that helps enhance your natural beauty by adding volume to plump lips, contour cheeks, and smooth out wrinkles. The aesthetic team at Williamson County Integrative Medicine uses fillers as an anti-aging treatment to help you fight the early signs of aging.

What are the different types of fillers?

The team at Williamson County Integrative Medicine offers many types of fillers aimed at improving different areas of your face. The aesthetic experts offer fillers to treat your:

Lips

You may be considering fillers if you’d like to add more volume to your lips. The team at Williamson County Integrative Medicine uses Restylane Silk and Juvéderm Voluma™ to add volume and smooth out lines.

Cheeks

The team at Williamson County Integrative Medicine uses Juvéderm Voluma and Restylane Lyft to add volume to your cheeks and improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

Nasolabial folds and marionette lines

Nasolabial folds are the lines that go from your nose to the corner of your mouth, while marionette lines are the wrinkles that form on either side of your chin. The aesthetic experts can smooth out these aging lines using Restylane Refyne or Restylane Defyne fillers.

Tear troughs

To treat the bags under your eyes, also known as tear troughs, your aesthetic expert uses Juvéderm Volbella.

What can I expect when getting fillers?

Filler injections are a quick cosmetic procedure that takes an hour or less. While the injections are usually well-tolerated, your provider may apply a numbing agent before getting started to ease any discomfort.

After your skin is prepped, your fillers are injected into very precise areas to give you the aesthetic look you want. During the injection process, your provider massages the filler into place to improve your look.

Once completed, you may experience some redness at the injection site that can be easily treated with an ice pack. There’s no downtime following filler injections, so you can go right back to your usual activities. Although your provider may recommend you take a break from your usual workouts for a day or two.

You should see an improvement in your look immediately following your treatment and the results may last for as long as a year.
